I read them all, and trust me. Yours was best. So you can be most popular AND the best entry. People are just whining because they aren't winning or their entry wasn't chosen, but if they actually read your entry I think they'd back off.

Well whatever it was I think everyone on this site is pretty friendly and I'm sure your votes came because whatever you wrote was well received, not because of a "popularity contest" Don't sweat it, there are always going to be sore losers!

You deserve all the votes! Your entry exhibited your humor and your ability to think out of the box. It was witty and clever. Dont apologize for someones inability to act like a grownup. Its a contest, which means not everyone will win. They should have realized that fully when they entered their submission.

And as far as this being a popularity contest--you cant control how people vote. As a matter of fact, I think it is more fitting that a devoted and deserving Sugar win the bag, and not some ghost-member who signed up merely to try their hand at winning. That just isnt the point of the contest. It is to celebrate the launch of FABSugar, and by default, celebrating the members who support the site and enjoy what FAB has to say.

I made a few entries myself and clearly they werent good enough to make the cut. Im not bent out of shape about it, I still had a great time trying to write creatively, and I support the editors in their decisions on the top 5.

Suck it up people and be genuinely happy for those who are recognized. I know I am.

There are so many jealous haters in the world peepers. You're entry was very creative and funny and lots of people even quoted stuff you wrote in other posts. The one's who are bitching are the people that are bitter because they aren't winning. Don't give them a second though, success is the best revenge and I hope you win the purse doll.

I read all the finalists' entries and even though they were all a pleasant read, I found yours very funny and also the most original. It is not a popularity contest, we are not children here and I'm sure that most of us want to give the prize to the most deserving. IMO that should be you.

it is not a popularity contest. one vote per person and the person with the most votes will win.
any other griping is just sour grapes. the five finalists are all very talented. their entries (yours included) blew the others out of the water.
it wasn't like anything was top secret. the entries were all there for each of us to read every day. we could see what other people were writing. i am just not getting all of this backlash.
